WINDHOEK, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's fistball team will be part of the 80 teams that will participate at the Obersee Masters tournament from Aug. 3 to 4 in Jona, Switzerland.

The Namibian based players will fly to Switzerland on July 31, where they will meet their Germany-based teammates for the first time, Namibia Fistball Association spokesperson, Helmo Minz said in a statement Monday.

Minz said the aim of the tournament for Namibia is to integrate the four players based in Germany into the team structure rather than the placement at the tournament.

"The training camp in Jona starts on August 5 and lasts until August 8. Under the supervision of Christian Schluep from Switzerland, who served as the national coach of Namibia for three World Championships before, the team will work on the final touches," he added.

According to Minz, on August 9, the Namibian team will travel to Winterthur, a day before the IFA World Championships, where a final training session takes place before the IFA Championships start on Sunday, August 11.

Namibia who is Africa's only representative will be in Group D, alongside Denmark, Australia, the Netherlands, and Japan. On the first day of the tournament, the team will meet the Netherlands and Japan.
